Which Architect
Are You?

← From Engineer to Architect

There is no single authority that lays all ten on one clean ladder, so think of it as two axes. Altitude is how high you sit, from the whole organisation down to the internals of one system. Domain is the specialist column you go deep in. Five roles are mostly about altitude; four are cross-cutting specialists who apply at any altitude.

Pick any role to open it. These follow the industry-standard definitions from the bodies that name them (TOGAF, iSAQB, DAMA, ISTQB, and the cloud vendors); in practice the exact title and scope shift with company, country, and culture, so treat this as a compass, not a rulebook.
